A great hike today up to the snowy summit of Mt Diablo! The route was up the Eagle Peak trail, the single track trail to Prospector’s Gap, then the single track trail to the top. The return trip was down through Juniper Campground and down through Mitchell Canyon.
It was a beautiful day to climb the mountain, but cold and windy around prospectors gap and up towards the summit. Snow, ice, and 32 degrees with a 20 mph breeze is a little different than the mountain’s usual 100 degrees and rattlesnakes!
