While we didn’t exactly see the top of Mt Diablo, we did find some beautiful elevation at Eagle Peak nearby.
We reached this spot by way of the Eagle Peak loop trail which was a somewhat strenuous, rocky and at times, very breezy climb. Not knowing what to expect (tarantulas ?!) probably helped us complete this 8 mile route (approx 2,260 ft elev gain). Once again, we were rewarded with spectacular vistas. We were also lucky that the temps stayed relatively cool with partially sunny skies.
Bravo to these strong women for conquering this “amiga del Diablo”!
