Started at the lower Trailhead as it was recommended by most other trip reports. Very beautiful hike through the woods. Loved looking at all the trees and plants on the way up. The trail is amazingly maintained. We used the winter route to head up to the top. When we hit the chute it was very intimidating, extremely steep but we headed up. A lot easier than expected heading up. Still extremely steep, best to keep a good pace and use previously used steps.

The view at the top was breath taking. The Olympics are something else when you're up there. Got to the stop just a little before 1. We were slightly under prepared without an axe, but were able to glissade down alright with our poles. The chutes are steep and a little terrifying at times but the snow was soft from melting a bit so didn't feel too out of control on the way down.

We made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up hitting upper lot and walking the road back to the car. Left about 3pm. Overall awesome hike.
