We started up at 830am it was a beautiful day and a beautiful hike. I hiked it with a friend and my 5 year old son. This was his first 4,000 footer and he did amazing! The only down fall to the hike was when we hit the forehead and a little further up is the parking lot for the cars that drove up, it became very hectic! To many people in cars that had no hiking edict and took over the mt. When we hit the top it was so wind that my son could hardly walk he was getting blown away. So I had to try and hike while he was clinging to my leg because he is too heavy to carry. We went up CCC road to maple ridge and down sunset ridge to CCC road and finished at 6pm for a total of 9.5 hr hike the parking lot is very small and was full right after we arrived. Everyone else had to park along the road and hike that first so I recommend getting there early for good parking.
