Took the tram to start the hike and while on the tram I made 2 friends that were also hiking to the peak so we all hiked together. Got a free day permit at the ranger station. There were some areas where the trail to follow was unclear so I had to reference AllTrail quite often. The hike started late because the first ride up on the tram is 10am. Usually I prefer to start hikes early because I wanted to avoid heat. A lot of the trail was covered with trees so it did not get too hot until the last 2 miles before summit because it was not as covered with trees. The hikes was nice, although I did experience slight altitude sickness.
