Snowfields to cross – could be difficult

The trail up to the junction with Deer Springs was steep, beautiful, and free of snow but after that it was difficult, at best, to follow without following GPS regularly.  Even then, we managed to get off trail frequently.  Then we'd use GPS to get back on trail when we realized we were off.  Large snow drifts were everywhere.  Most folks we ran into had the same difficulties.  Highly recommend following the San Jacinto (Jon King) trail reports for the latest, up-to-date trail info.  Just know he doesn't gloss over specifics.  It's probably more difficult than he makes it sounds because he hikes these trails twice weekly.  (https://sanjacjon.com/) The  peak was awesome and the views were incredible!
