There was a big event- Seek the Summit- the same day, meaning that there were a lot of people on trail. Parking was tough at 6:45am.

It was smooth going up Tuckerman's. There was a steady breeze keeping us cool and occasionally a cloud came through the ravine. There was still some snow alongside the trail, but it was not on trail at all. Lots of small alpine flowers were on the trail. The last .6 miles was definitely a challenging climb, but with breaks and pacing, we were fine. Though the stairs up to the summit was a tough challenge.

We opted to go down Boott Strap to avoid some of the crowds. It was nice walking along the ridge for a while with a bit more elevation gain, but the way down was brutally tough. We had over 2 miles of eccentric pistol squats going down rocks. It was slower going down than up.

Overall, it was a fabulous, challenging day.
