Perfect weather! There were water stations and flushing toilets at the summit where the observatory was located. Some left-over snow at the top, made it a little chilly, but nothing too cold. Make sure to have a good map and look-out for the “arrows” to help keep you on the trail. You can easily get confused. There were many down trees that made the path blocked, but because I am tall ( 5'10”) I had no trouble going over the large trunks. Some stream crossing that did have rocks to help bridge you to the other side. I did not have to use my hiking poles until about 3 miles until the peak going up ( did counter-clock-wise), and used them going down to the parking lot. Parking is very limited and had to hike 2 miles up to get to the trailhead. Overall due to the small hike to the trailhead and the scenic bottom of the waterfall ( about 1.5-2miles off the trail) I hiked about 20 miles in total. It is good to go at a decent pace to beat the sunset and also carry a headlamp incase of hiking in the dark (especially around this time of year).  I was not as sore as I had expected to be after a hike like that. I felt this hike really could help see where I was conditioning wise and anything I needed to possibly work on. Overall, I was pleased with this trail and would do it again.
