Have not done Mt. Wilson in 5 years . . . I knew Cosmic Cafe was not open but I did confirm that water from the spigot there was available. Restrooms were also open… Mt Wilson always requires an early start…Beat the heat! There now nice trail signs as you reach waypoints: First Water, Orchard Camp, etc . . .15+ miles on the day with a fully loaded day pack to train for the other six pack of peaks and gives you an indication if you are ready. . . On this trip, Also got treated to watching a helicopter take off and land in the parking lot as the crews worked…..
