I talked my roommate into going with me. We left our house around 0230 so that we could get to the trail head around 0445. He was cursing my name for waking him up in the middle of the night for the early morning, but the sunrise and summit views were so worth it! On the way back there were some bees that stung another hiker and harassed others. This was gorgeous. I would say that my friend was cussing my name toward the end of the trail but it was honestly worth it for those views. There were a lot of people going up both when we did and when we were going down. I would think it was a bit warm to summit it in the middle of the day but that's just my opinion.
