The weather couldn't have been better. It was cool throughout, but not too cold, so light jackets were perfect. With all the rain we've gotten this year, the trail was gorgeous, and Sturtevant falls, although a slight detour, was incredible and worth the extra steps.
This was a strenuous hike, with a lot of elevation gain and many water crossings, but so worth the effort. On the way down, there were spots where you had to climb over fallen trees, but I'm here to write about it, so no big deal.
I'm already excited about the next peak–although I think I'll let my sore muscles recover a bit. Oh, and did I mention, that night I got the best sleep I've gotten in a very long time. The hike was an all round wonderful experience!
