Took a new route up Mt. Wilson.  Via the Toll Road.  Here is the video of the hike.

First off, watch for parking signs. Most of the road by the trail is no parking. You will have to go park in side streets.

Alltrails lists the hike at 16.9 miles roundtrip. But signs and my phone listed that just getting to the top was about 9 miles, so it's closer to a 18 mile round trip hike.

About 3 miles from the trailhead is a very cool campground, Henninger Flats. I didn't notice if they had water, but they did have bathrooms. The campgrounds seemed nice with benches and grilling stations. Definitely a campground that I will want to stay at.

After the campground, for a few miles, the trail gets a nice cover of oaks and pines. Once you reach the saddle, the cover disappears and you are exposed on the trail. Also after the saddle the road becomes more strewn with boulders. Nothing that bad enough that it can't be easily moved bypassed.

Overall, besides it's length, it's not that bad of a hike. Probably an incline of about 5%, 10% at some of it's steep points. But it isn't steep for very long. It's also a trip to think that cars and buggies were using this road in the late 1800's to the 1930's.
