Epic day hiking Mt. Yale! I camped in my truck at the trailhead so I could get an early start as rain was in the forecast for the afternoon. Started at 3:45 am and made it to the summit in just over 3 hours. First one to the summit for the day so I got a a good 30-45min on the summit all to myself before heading down. On the way down I passed several large groups and various other hikers attempting to reach the top. This was a great hike that was fairly long but not too strenuous as the trail was well established and fairly well maintained.

All of the stream crossings were very passable over some downed logs. There was no significant snow, just one small section that covered maybe 20feet of trail. The summit was significantly colder than base so come prepared with some warm clothes! I brought my drone along for the hike so I hope you enjoy the picture I got from my short flight at the summit!

  1. Great pic! Shows how small we are when we are out in that magnificent world. Keep on reaching new heights.
