This was our first hike of the Southern California six-packs.  My devoted hiking buddy Christina and I got a good start on our drive up to the Bear Canyon Trailhead that would take us to Sitton Peak.  Parking across the highway was easy and there were lots of spaces.  It was a wet and soggy day and the trail was pretty muddy all the way up and back.  It was a little tricky and slippery towards the top and foggy and cloudy when we got there.  The cool part of a wet and muddy hike is the animal tracks are pretty pronounced and we had fun trying to figure out what had been on the trail before us.  There were not too many people on the trail but there was one group that had made up just after us and I was admiring the hiking boots of one of the women hikers and, after finishing our hike, went right over to REI and purchased a new pair of Oboz's and have been hiking with them ever since.
