The weather was perfect, blue skies & you can view mountain ranges at 360 degrees. We were a group of 8 active adults & most of us were signed up for the 6 pack challenge, & there were 2 that just had 1 peak left to complete. It’s my first ever & my group was saying, I picked one of the hardest to hike as my first. It was difficult & strenuous for me. I wore my Hoka trail running shoes that are a year old & I had hiking poles, which really helped. I slipped about 3 times on the trail while I was descending dued to my shoes, but my poles saved me. I plan on purchasing proper shoes before my next peak challenge. I enjoyed the challenge, the view, & the awesome group I was with. The group was very friendly & supportive. We took our time & made sure everyone had water & food to eat. My next challenge will be on Saturday at Mt. Umunhum.
