My first peak!

Strawberry Peak Trail via Redbox Canyon

Trail in good condition

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

Bugs were not too bad

Snow:

Snow free

Went up early, catching a beautiful sunrise!  Rewards for getting up before the crack of dawn!  This is a very enjoyable hike.  The first 2.5 miles are pretty easy.  The whole trail is exposed, no shade to be found.  The last mile is tough…made me realize how weak my legs are!!  Must work on strength training.  Lots of scrambling and loose sand.  Be careful out there!

The views at the top are definitely worth the work.  Don't forget your strawberries for a photo op at the top!
