Beautiful day for a hike! We arrived at 7am and were the second car parked in the lot (parking was overflowing onto the main road when we returned around 11:30- so arrive early)

The first part of the trail included some rock scrambling, but once we reached the fire road it was easy to navigate. The steady incline to the summit was challenging but the views made the journey so enjoyable. The majority of the trail is exposed so I’m glad we got an early start. There weren’t too many people on the way up and on the way down we saw several small groups including some rock climbers.

I loved the view of the valley below with its’ vineyards and misty hills-  this is such a gorgeous corner of our world!
