Beautiful day to hike, clear and cold before sunup. Mid 60’s through the day.
Lots if water everywhere, a little bit of snow still in the shady areas on top.
Trail has some tree fall still from the snows last year, just have to be careful navigating through the obstacles.
Did the hike with my sister and an awesome Dobie named Dax. He made the hike no problem.
Started with way too much water weight, made the peak by 1 pm. Had a much needed rest at the top and headed back down at 145 pm. Made the last 2 miles with headlamps.
Lessons learned, take a daypack for daypack weights and distances.
