Yikes. This one was as difficult coming down as it was going up. We started at sunrise and the weather was beautiful, but by the time we got back to the car it was over 90 degrees and miserable. The wildflowers were beautiful and the view from the top is great, but we walked away with some ankle turns, some butt bruises and I'm sure tomorrow we'll have some very sore muscles. There is definitely a lot of climbing and coming down was very tough because of all the loose rocks and dirt. I am totally wiped out and happy this one is done. I have been dreading it all season. Now I'm dreading Quartz because the stats are so similar to Flatiron!!!
