We took the Five Oaks side route and it was gorgeous. Hot day but a decent amount of shade and there was a nice breeze at the top. Well worth it for the views of Anza borrego on one side and out to the pacific on the other side. A pint at Nickel Beer Co was an absolute must afterwords. Highly recommend the Jalapeño Golden Ale and spicy pickles!
