Buddy and I hit the trail at 11 pm to beat the heat and catch the sunrise at the peak. Amazing views all directions up top. A little chilly with the winds,pack warming layers if hitting the summit before the heat tablet rises. Creeks flowing well for refill, not hiking in the sun and heat greatly impacted the water weight load. First time on this one, awesome hike. First batch of switch backs most difficult part.

Congrats for finishing the hardest peak among 12…….
We have done this hike a couple of times at day time; it was extremely difficult.
We are now contemplating to hike at night to avoid the sun.
Did you have any difficulty at night finding the trail? Did you see other hikers on the trail?
