Hike Log

no SITTON around

Trailhead:

Bear Canyon

Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Trail in good condition

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

No bugs

Snow:

Snow free

The trail was hard packed for the most part with a couple muddy sections from the recent rains. The scramble to the peak is always a burner but the 360 degree views make it worthwhile!

Sitton is always a great starter peak and I’m glad to finally bag my first of the year!

  1. Also, Sitton is a very popular peak for the OC & IE. Although not crowded now like it usually would be on a weekend, everyone on the trail is still friendly while respecting social distancing. There was a CHP because some parked next to the candy store (currently closed) which is private property. Please don’t be a covidiot and respect the land, people and nature.

    1. “covidiot” Hah! I love that, do you mind if I steal it? Good to hear that the people you encountered were friendly and respectful. 🙂

  2. Congrats on your first peak of the year, you chose a great one (as you know!) Its interesting to see your data too, is that from AllTrails? I love your punny title too! 🙂
