I lost the trail several times going up but managed to get back on track. Lots of gravel/scree. The top 1/5 mile or so of the peak – there are a ton of rivulets and things that look like paths but aren’t, so it’s easy to wander about. Luckily there were others on the trail to follow for the most part. The views from the top are incredible. The surveyor’s coin was missing…a regular said there used to be one. Bring water and reapply sunscreen as there are many exposed stretches. No issues whatsoever with making a vehicle registration and paying online. Super easy. Saw some cute dogs out there today! Need to up my endurance/stamina game before progressing to some of the harder peaks in this challenge! My husband tapped out around the 1/3 way point.
