Dusty, hot, and sunny. The entire 3 miles up was basically a 10-15% grade with a couple steeper sections. But the climb was worth the view. Crowded even during the middle of the week – It’s popular for a reason. I was not patient enough to wait in line for a selfie with the peak marker.

Carry more water than you think you need, hiking poles made the downhill less painful.
