Hike Log

One top to rule them all

I had been hoping to do this one and was glad it re-opened after the fires. This is a loooooong hike, it took me from 6:45 am until 6:30 pm. Going up you get slower and slower because of the thin air, but I felt quite good throughout.

Going down I got depleted by having burned several times my normal daily caloric intake. Note to self: take breakfast more seriously.

The weather was splendid, no need for my fleece. And there still was water at High Creek, meaning I probably lugged around 4-5 lbs more more then really necessary. I drank about 4 liters today. The views were great.
