Started the hike at 5:25am. Shortly after the hike there was a 30 minute light drizzle. There was cloud cover through the morning which was great and helped reduce water consumption. On the way to Ontario peak we bagged Bighorn peak around 9:30am which was when the rain and wind picked up, but after another 30 minutes of light drizzle, the cloud cover gave way to blue skies and it was sunny the entire day from there on out. The portion of the trail to Ontario peak has burned down trees that cross the trail which have to be jumped over which got slightly annoying. We summited Ontario peak at 11am got our photos, and returned to the vehicle by 2:25pm. The weather was very hot in the afternoon and it was nice to be off the trail during peak heat.
