This was my second attempt at Ontario Peak. When I went to attempt it the first time I went with 3H hiking group but due to health restrictions I didn't get to finish it. On June 8th I only made it to Kelly Camp and turned back. June 22th I went back for redemption. It was pretty decent and I could feel my body feeling a lot better going up. This time when I got to the saddle I took a break and ate for a bit before heading up. When I got to Kelly Camp I had a lot more energy than I had the time I turned around which I felt confident to keep going. I made it to the top which the views were amazing being able to see the clouds and the winds were wild. It was a bit over crowded at the top therefore I only stayed a bit then headed back down. There were a lot of those black huge fire ants but I made sure to stay clear and not let them crawl up. When I passed the saddle going down I ran into 3H hiking group that were taking a break. They were on their way down after doing the Three Ts trail. I ended up joining them on the way down for the rest of the way. It was wild how we ran into each other it was such a sweet coincidence!
