We hiked in a pair, beginning about noon. The sky was clear, with beautiful fluffy clouds. A bit windy even down in the parking lot. After first 1 and a half, gained some serious elevation. Trails were clearly marked and easy to follow, but glad we mapped out our route beforehand just to be sure. Breathtaking views once you reach each clearing with excellent line of sight all around you. Made it to the top after 4 and a half hours. Headed down the fire road and lost a bunch of light once we reached the valley. Finished at about 7:15pm. (After park close.) would recommend starting a little earlier to give yourself enough time to get back down in time.
