On this day I had initially planned to hike The Flatiron. However when I got to the parking lot I found out they were limiting access as part of their COVID-19 mitigation strategies and as I did not want to wait for an available parking spot due to time constraints I decided as Plan B to hike either Camelback Mountain or Piestewa Peak.  Due to the number of vehicles waiting at the Echo Canyon parking lot for Camelback I decided to head out to Piestewa instead.  There, parking was plentiful especially with the renovated parking lots for the Summit Trail and Mesquite Trailhead. There were a lot of people on the trail. This time I took it easy.  When I got to the twin peaks I went right and scrambled up to the true summit. It was a bit crowded there. But I stayed there for a while and took pictures. Later I went down to the lower peak and spent time there before heading down. I made it back to the car before sunset.
