Took a day off yesterday to drive up to Burlington, Vermont to climb the two peaks here.

First one I did was Mt. Mansfield today. This hike was very different than the first three, not only was this mountain the tallest one yet, but starting yesterday the temperatures decided to drop. I went from short sleeves shirts and shorts to wearing long pants and 2-3 layers of shirts with a hat. There was slight overcast today and I was worried the wind would be too strong but luckily the conditions weren’t as bad as I expected. While there wasn’t much of a view at the peak due to the overcast, there were some good views and pockets of sun during the hike across the ridge.

Despite the complete turn around in weather, still a solid hike. 4 down, 7 to go!
