After a rate overnight rain, the normally easily drivable dirt road was muddy in spots enough to cause me to swerve a few times… in the dark it was a bit unnerving. Luckily, it was not too bad. Pre-sunrise hike started at 7:15am left me with the view of Weaver’s Needle all to myself. The crowds really showed up about half way down the trail and I found it funny how many Alex if I had been to the saddle and I must have started super early. ???? About 7:15 so not too bad was my response which I found so funny because 7:15 feels late… except the temps in thirties at the start, it wasn’t even dark when I hit the trailhead. And the ephemeral waterfalls were such a wind treat! A glorious morning for one of the most beautiful hikes in the country. ????????????????????
