This is one of my favourite PNW hikes of all time. Especially in autumn. 3 years in a row, my bestie and I hiked this trail in early October and each year the fall foliage is slightly different and unique (depending on the dry/wet season and overall temperatures of spring and summer) – but it never fails to impress. 360 views at the top offers a variety of peaks and lakes, in addition to an impressive Mt Rainier view. After the forest section, getting to the clearing full of orange and red leaves is such a sight – which is followed by one of the most beautiful mountain meadows PNW offers. I absolutely love this hike <3
