My husband and I started hiking relatively early in the day. Our first leg was up a steep ski trail and it was very hot, humid, and buggy! We got to the top of the trail and the hike to the summit from there was much easier. We enjoyed touring the war memorial and eating our lunch outside watching a small group of volunteers repair the ground to allow for easier hang gliding launching!

Our trip down the mountain was relatively straightforward, sights included pretty wildflowers and a fat porcupine! We missed a turn, however, and ended up on the road, which then required a 1.5 walk back to our car. We ended the day getting ice cream – which tasted amazing after the hike!
