We avoided the crowds and enjoyed our climb up Woodsen by takingthe Fry-Koegel trail. The chilly morning (38 degrees) warmed up as we trekked along. The trail was fairly shaded, though, and very pleasant as we proceeded. We only came across one other set of hikers until we got to the Lake Poway route. We skirted the Potato Chip crowd to get to the actual summit. Got a chuckle seeing two guys hanging out (with the great view) on their inflatable couch 🙂
