Santiago Peak is my least favorite due to, not just the distance, but the trail/fire road is shared  with off-roading and motorbiking enthusiasts. With the road condition very dry, every time a vehicle passed us by, regardless how slow they drove,  dust was everywhere. I was thankful to have my mask with me since I forgot my gaiter. Going to the peak was not busy since we started a little early but while we were taking in the views, 4X4s started to show up.

We went with a friend that was first time hiking this peak and the one that sealed her 6pop completion…yay!

Unfortunately, this one is also a victim of having the sign stolen… sigh…

Overall, the hike itself was not that bad, marine layer was thick that made the temperature low most of the time. This one made it to my 8th peaks in my 6pop this year 🙂
