It was a sunny, clear, beautiful day with clouds below the mountains.  BUT, the winds was so strong, I was debating whether me and my hiking partner Sheryl, attempt to go down the Devils Backbone trail since we were hiking clockwise through Baldy Bowl Trail.  Majority of hikers coming down from the peak were warning us the wind was strong both at the peak and the Devils Backbone Trail.  When we reach the peak, the wind was calm with intermittent strong winds.  We met other hikers including children, that hike the Devils Backbone Trail and told us the wind was doable and were heading back in that direction.  We decided to head to the Devils Backbone Trail.  As soon as we entered the Devils Backbone Trail, WOW that wind was so strong I'm surprised that it didn't blew us away.  We made it through.  The strong wind worn us out that we took the ski lift down to relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
