I have wanted to hike Quartz Peak since I moved to the Valley of the Sun… a long time ago… I moved here in 1993 (was it even around back then?). And… it did not disappoint! The massive white quartz at the summit is impressive! And the trail is beautiful and fun – I love ridge line hikes even with a little scrambling and route finding. If only the trailhead was easier to find. ? I’m so glad this hike was added to the AZ Winter Challenge. ? Oh and I briefly chatted with some other hikers who are participating in the challenge! ??? A wonderful day!
