The views from the summit of the 4th highest peak in the Santa Cruz Mountains make this one of the more attractive hikes in the bay area.

Heavily entwined in the native people's origin lore, this “resting place” of Hummingbirds is set against the backdrop of the bay area, along with a former air force radar installation – a remnant of the cold War.

Parking from the bald mountain Evans is extremely limited and difficult so make sure you tackle this early in the morning, or midday after the morning crowd leaves.
