Our group decided to knock out two peaks in one day!  Yes, we are crazy!  Mission Peak was our second peak in the later afternoon.  After putting on our legs 8+ miles earlier in the day we were in for a rude awakening with this strenuous climb to the top.  It was a gorgeous day, but this trail offers no canopy for shade. I certainly wouldn't do this hike on a hot day.  Luckily for us we had a cool breeze for this round trip of 7+ miles.  We loved all the dairy cows we saw along the way.

We rounded out our day with 15+ miles of hiking!  We totally enjoyed this Nor Cal Challenge – we hated to see it end!  We will be back for more! Until next year!!
