The long and winding trail that finally lead to Rose Peak, which is a little knob in the middle of Ohlone Wilderness. It doesn't have great vistas but it is still lovely to see nothing but preserved space 360, where the wild things come first. Not demanding in terms of aerobic activity, but one must have stamina and good hiking boots. We could see the smoke from Kincaide fire on one side and the valley fog from Santa Clara on the other and we were happy to be over all of it and breathing fresh air. (and giving thanks for our brave firefighters) Margaritas and burritos were necessary after this 20 mile hike with 4501 elevation gain.
