Great but challenging hike… Forecast was for mild conditions, but turned out to be light rain and hail for most of the 21 miles. Started from a parking lot near the boat ramp, so hiked around to the trailhead, adding ~2 mi to the journey. Intermittent light rain with some showers mixed in. Not many folks out on the trail, though I did run into some fellow wet hikers. When I got to the peak, it was socked in with fog, so I will have to check out others' pics to see the view. Trek back down was beautiful and quiet. Got a great view of the edge of the clouds out over the Livermore Valley.
