After my first experience car-camping, to kind of acclimatize myself, the hike was all-around enjoyable! Some good and steep moments, and scrambling at the very top was fun. Muir wasn't wrong about the view.
Local brewery in Menifee *used* to produce a “San Jacinto IPA”, but alas, no longer in production, so I got a crowler of another of their delicious beers.
Tacos in Idyllwild were just okay.
