Extremely hot! Mostly because I put on some heavy layers. This was my second time trying to summit since I don't have a high car to drive up to the trailhead. First time I was driving my small Ford vehicle which that rocky road was going to mess up the tired and possibly something in the engine. We got there second time driving my dad's truck. It was a lot better when driving in that rocky road! I do love this hike! I hadn't trained much before so it was a slow one for me. It took about 4 hours to go up and like 3.5hours to go down of course with a break at the top. Luckily I packed 3.5L of water that was good enough for me since I hydrated before this hike. As we hiked up I could look around and really enjoy the views because they were amazing and spectacular! I think that's also a part and reason why it took us a little longer to reach the top. It did seem long going up and down but when checking the calculations if was like a good 8miles up. A LOT of trekking. To us it felt like a longer hike mostly because we hadn't hiked or trained for it and at the end we were wiped but it was all totally worth it!
