This hike is one for the books, and definitely my favorite of the year so far. I finally convinced my best friend to join me for a casual Backpacking trip to San Bernardino Peak, with a small chance of hiking beyond to San Gorgonio. It was all going to be dependent on the snow fields we were going to have to cross. It became pretty clear on the last mile to the San Bernardino peak that San Gorgonio was going to be out of the question for us. Unfortunately, the newb best friend only brought Nikes and I didn't feel like being responsible for any missing toes due to frostbite. haha either way, we had an absolute blast. I think he's officially a fan of backpacking and maybe I'll finally have a partner for all my solo adventures in the mountains!

PS sorry for the late post on this! I guess it slipped my mind after all the fun stories faded from our conversations.
