The road to the trailhead is as rocky and bumpy as everyone else says it is, but take it slow and you'll be fine — I rolled through it in a mid-size sedan. Only ran into maybe a dozen people the whole time I was out there. I started close to 9:30am. Was warm but not too warm. Sun was out the whole day, but there was enough shade along the way to help keep things bearable. Felt great at the top, and the sky was clear enough to give me plenty to gaze out at.
