Started at the trail head at 4:30 a.m. plenty of parking as we were the only ones crazy enough to start at 4:30 a.m. ?? First 2 miles are steep. Then you're in a fairy forest. It was beautiful around sunrise. Honestly, this was a tough hike. It felt never ending. It was hot, but it was SO worth it when we summited. I had 3 liters of water and ran dry the last few miles. Thankfully, had some waiting in the car. Bathrooms at the trailhead and nowhere else, so get ready to squat and pee! Oh and lots of ballsy squirrels at the peak, WATCH YOUR PACKS!
