Great hike to the top of San Gorgonio.  It was my first time up this peak and it’s now one of my favorites.  Redwood trees a bit of an aspen feel and then rocky slopes toward the top.  It’s every bit of 19 miles so took us over 8 hours including 30 min at the top.  Fell a bit dizzy above 11,000 ft but not bad.  Super windy at the top so you should bring layers.  You need a permit and park rangers don’t mess around about this requirement even though it’s free.  There’s a family of chipmunk at the top that love hikers granola bars.  I’ll be back to this hike for sure.
