Cool weather in the mountains – clear and sunny while hot down below. Bugs will getcha down at the trailhead … and along the creek up above the switchbacks. Once moving however, they will lay off and subside considerably once you're up near High Creek/Camp. Still some snow up at the top here and there – nothing you must traverse – but visible with some watermelon bloom/algea visible (do not eat!).
