San Gorgonio

First time up San G and it was a lot longer hike than planned.  Ended up hiking back to Vivian Creek parking lot by using my headlamp.  Glad I had my 10 essentials.

Trail is easy to follow up and back except for a rocky patch section just before the trail sign to San Bernardino peak.  There seems to be many paths going up in this rocky section but going back down you’ll see many footprints going different ways downward so you can lose the trail.

Creek still has flowing water as of August 24 at both camp areas but flow is running low.  Would recommend bringing 3 liters of water unless you want to filter creek water.

  1. I spotted myself in your picture! LOL! (That’s me in the salmon colored long-sleeve shirt.) Hope you enjoyed your hike like we did! I agree, it was a long one!

    1. Hi There,
That was indeed a long and I thought a tough hike (my first time) up San Gorgonio. You all looked great overseeing the wonderful view which I thought looked really cool.

      Take care!
