It was 38 degrees at the start at 7AM.  Sheesh!  But it got warmer as we got higher and into the sun.  Phew.

But as we got higher the wind really picked up.  At the top it was 30 MPH winds!  It was really friggin' cold.  But we got our pictures and headed back to a little alcove to protect ourselves from the wind and had lunch. Over the edge, there was a small little patch of snow.  Nice!  It was well off the trail and it had been there a long time. But still cool to see snow in September.

On the way down, we used the water filter to refill a few bottles.  It wasn't necessary, but it was good to try out the filter and make sure we had enough water to go down the last 6 miles.

We did 19 miles.  It was amazing to finish off our 6-pack of peaks!
